CIDA Employee, Mr James Wanjohi Nominated as a Young Global Leader for 2009

James Wanjohi – Head of the Branson School of Entrepreneurship at CIDA

Friday, 06 March 2009 – CIDA City Campus is proud to announce that CIDA employee, Mr James Wanjohi (head of the Branson School of Entrepreneurship at CIDA) has been nominated as a Young Global Leader (YGL) for 2009. This honour is bestowed by the World Economic Forum each year to recognize the two hundred most distinguished young leaders below the age of 40 from around the world.

The Selection Committee, composed of the world’s top media leaders and chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, selected James Wanjohi after carefully screening the profiles of young leaders from every region of the world and from a myriad of disciplines and sectors. His nomination is in recognition of his record of professional accomplishments, commitment to society and his potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world through his inspiring leadership.

As an honouree, he is also invited to join The Forum of Young Global Leaders as an active community member. The YGL community forms a unique global network of peers from diverse backgrounds and fields, with a highly visible opportunity to significantly impact world affairs and shape the global agenda.

James, congratulations once again on your nomination. You have done CIDA proud and we are confident that your participation as a YGL will contribute greatly to shaping a better future for the world.
